Can I buy materials anywhere in Australia?

No. Currently Build Mat Mart's launch is limited to Sydney only. We expect to go national very soon!

Are the materials new or used?

Listings can include new, surplus, or lightly used materials. The condition will be described in the listing.

How do I pay for materials?

You pay securely at checkout using Stripe through Build Mat Mart. Your payment is held in escrow and only released to the seller once you confirm delivery or pickup is complete.

Can I negotiate the price?

Yes. You can message the seller or use the Make an Offer feature to negotiate pricing, quantity, or delivery and pickup options.

How do I know the listing is accurate?

All listings are posted by sellers, so always review the description and photos carefully. You can ask the seller questions before purchasing.

Can I return materials if they’re not as described?

Returns depend on the agreement with the seller. We recommend confirming details with the seller before completing the transaction.

Are there delivery options?

Delivery is arranged directly between buyer and seller. Many sellers offer local pickup, while some may provide delivery for an additional fee.

Is it safe to buy through Build Mat Mart?

Build Mat Mart offers Secure Payment through Stripe for buyers who want added payment protection. Your payment is processed securely and the seller’s payout is released once the transaction reaches the required completion stage.

If you choose Pay Seller Directly, payment is arranged between you and the seller and is not processed or held by Build Mat Mart or Stripe. Direct payments do not receive the payment protections available through Build Mat Mart Secure Payment.

What is a search page featured listing?

Search page featured listings appear at the top of search results and category pages. They get more visibility and help you sell your materials faster.

What is a homepage featured listing?

Homepage featured listings appear on the homepage. They get ultimate exposure and help you sell your materials faster.

How do I price my materials?

Set a competitive price based on condition, quantity, and current market rates. You can also negotiate with buyers through messages, receive offers, and make counteroffers.

Can I edit or remove my listing?

Yes. You can edit or remove your listing at any time from your account dashboard.

How do I communicate with buyers?

You can communicate with buyers directly through Build Mat Mart’s messaging system to discuss pricing, details, and delivery or pickup arrangements.

Do I need to ship the materials?

No. Shipping is optional. Sellers can offer pickup, delivery, or both, and buyers choose the arrangement that works best.

How do I get paid?

How you get paid depends on the payment option selected for the transaction.

With Build Mat Mart Secure Payment, the buyer pays securely through Stripe and your payout is released once the transaction reaches the required completion stage.

With Pay Seller Directly, you arrange and receive payment directly from the buyer using your agreed payment method. Direct payments are not processed or held by Build Mat Mart or Stripe.

Can I sell surplus or leftover materials?

Absolutely! Build Mat Mart is designed to help you move new, surplus, or leftover construction materials.

Is it safe to sell materials on Build Mat Mart?

Build Mat Mart offers Secure Payment through Stripe, allowing you to confirm the buyer has completed payment before handing over or delivering the materials. Your payout is released once the transaction reaches the required completion stage.

If you choose to accept Pay Seller Directly, you are responsible for confirming payment with the buyer before releasing the materials. Direct payments are not processed or held by Build Mat Mart or Stripe.

What if I have a lot of materials to sell?

You can post multiple listings and upgrade to higher-tier plans (Pro, Elite, Business) for added features and visibility.

Does Build Mat Mart help me reduce waste?

Yes! By selling surplus materials instead of discarding them, you reduce construction waste and promote sustainability.

What plans do you offer?

How do I upgrade my plan?

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Billing will adjust based on the plan you choose.

Are there any commission fees?

There are no Build Mat Mart transaction fees for sellers. Sellers receive the agreed sale amount without a commission deducted by Build Mat Mart.

When a buyer uses Build Mat Mart Secure Payment, an applicable service and payment processing fee is added at checkout and shown before payment is confirmed.

There is no Build Mat Mart transaction fee for Pay Seller Directly transactions.

Do I pay for individual listings?

No. It’s free to list your building materials on Build Mat Mart. There are no upfront listing fees and no Build Mat Mart transaction fees deducted from sellers when an item sells.

Optional paid promotional features may be available if you want to give your listing greater visibility..

Do you offer discounts?

Yes. We occasionally offer promotions or subscription discounts. Check our Pricing page or contact support for current offers.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to your account settings → Billing / Subscription, and click Cancel Plan. You will retain access until the end of your billing cycle.

What payment methods do you accept?

For Build Mat Mart Secure Payment, payments are processed securely through Stripe using supported major credit and debit cards.

If the seller offers Pay Seller Directly, the available payment method is arranged directly between the buyer and seller, such as bank transfer, cash or another mutually agreed payment method.
